Intergenerational Living in Redmond

Bridge Meadows is a local Oregon nonprofit and affordable housing developer that builds housing for youth who have experienced foster care, their families, and elders, creating intentional intergenerational communities.

Green Light Development provided comprehensive development services for Bridge Meadows' third affordable housing community in Redmond, Oregon. Their first two communities were developed in North Portland and Beaverton. Bridge Meadows Redmond is an intergenerational community, with ten townhomes designated for families adopting children out of foster care, alongside 26 apartments for seniors. The project includes a central courtyard, a community building, and resident activity and service spaces.

The project was financed with 9% Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) from National Equity Fund (NEF), construction and permanent debt from Umpqua Bank, charitable donations raised by the nonprofit, HOME Investment Partnerships Program funds, National Housing Trust Fund (HTF), General Housing Account Program (GHAP), OHCS Multifamily Energy Program funds (OR-MEP), and 8 Project-Based Section 8 vouchers.
