Rebuilding Homes after the Beachie Creek Wildfire

Developed through a partnership between Green Light Development and Home First Development, with support from the Marion County Housing Authority, Beech Street Commons is a 54-unit development featuring a mix of 1-, 2-, 3-, and 4-bedroom townhomes. The townhomes were designed for families earning at or below 60% of the area median income (AMI).

Marion County lost an estimated 700 housing units in the 2020 Beachie Creek wildfire. This development helped replenish the lost housing stock and provided quality, affordable homes for low-income families in the area.

The buildings achieved green building standards comparable to Earth Advantage Gold. The development features a 1,500-square-foot community space, large outdoor amenities, scenic mountain views, and easy access to the Santiam River, all of which support resident services and promote community building.

The project was financed with Local Innovation Fast Track (LIFT) funds, 4% Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), and construction and permanent debt.
